Peter Unger Catering is a family run kosher catering business that has proudly served the Jewish community for over 60 years.
Our story began in 1955 when Herbert and Leah Unger arrived in Australia and started a small food stall at the Melbourne Court House. Through hard work and a real commitment to quality they built the foundations of a business that has been trusted by generations.
Today, under the leadership of award winning chef Peter Unger, we continue that legacy. We cater everything from Shabbat and simchas to corporate functions, airline catering and community programs. All of our food is prepared in our purpose built kitchen under strict kosher supervision and full HACCP accreditation.
Peter’s son Samuel brings over 15 years of professional cooking experience, including time in fine dining kitchens. Together they blend tradition with modern technique, honouring the flavours people know and love while continuing to grow and evolve.
Behind the scenes, Celine Winter has been an integral part of the business for more than 50 years, overseeing operations and food safety with unmatched care and dedication.
